As part of the Boston Housing Authority’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the BHA is working to better understand resident connectivity needs and to address digital equity challenges.
As part of this effort, BHA is working to get residents connected to free or low-cost internet access in their homes and communities. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, internet access has become a more critical requirement for work, school, medical assistance, recreation and social engagement. Residents who are not currently connected or are struggling to maintain internet connection will benefit from consistent access, especially while our communities remain physically distanced.
Internet access will only serve the needs of public housing residents if residents are involved in these efforts. Resident feedback in this survey will provide the BHA with critical information as to how to best assist residents in increasing digital equity. The BHA welcomes all residents of public housing to complete a short survey at
www.bostonhousing.org/internetsurvey or return the paper survey that will be mailed to them with an enclosed, prepaid envelope. Any BHA public housing resident who completes the survey by August 10, 2020 will be entered into a raffle to WIN a Samsung tablet, through a random drawing of online and paper survey responses. The winners will be notified by August 17.
