Civil Rights Protection Plan

The Civil Rights Protection Plan is the policy that ensures Boston Housing Authority applicants, residents, visitors and staff enjoy an environment that is free of discrimination and protected category-based harassment. Whenever an incident of suspected discrimination has occurred, BHA staff must follow the procedures outlined in this policy.

The Civil Rights Protection Plan was approved by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development & Department of Justice on June 17, 1996; revisions approved By the Department of Justice on July 19, 1999. Last revised October 24, 2013.
