Bromley-Heath offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income individuals and families. Located on 25 acres of land in Jamaica Plain, Bromley-Heath consists of three developments; Heath Street, which was built in 1941, Bromley Park, which was built in 1952 and Bickford Street, which was built in 1964. The three developments offer 840 apartments, ranging from one-bedroom to five-bedroom apartments. Some of the apartments at Bromley-Heath provide housing for elderly and disabled residents. Rents are calculated at 30% of a resident’s income. Residents have the option of choosing a flat rent as well.

Location

Bromley-Heath is conveniently located on the Jamaica Plain/Roxbury line, with many businesses and services located nearby. A Super Stop & Shop is adjacent to Bromley-Heath and many other businesses can be found in nearby Jackson Square, Hyde Square and Egleston Square.

Health care is available adjacent to the property at the Martha Eliot Health Center. The Health Center has been providing service to Bromley-Heath and other area residents since 1966. Bromley-Heath residents serve on the Center’s advisory board. In addition, Bromley-Heath is located close to several area hospitals.

Transportation

Bromley-Heath is fortunate to have the Jackson Square Orange Line station located next to the development. The Orange Line serves Back Bay, Downtown and Forest Hills. The 14, 22, 29, 41, 44 and 48 buses also provide service to Jackson Square Station.
